Centioni flours are not only ground with stones that are powered by water, but they are also organic. Thanks to a collaboration with our trusted millers, we are able to offer an entirely organic line of flours. This line of Centioni organic flour is made by grinding a special blend of ancient and precious wheat from the heart of Italy, the regions Marche and Umbria. Those wheat are treated in the most natural way possible, like centuries ago, thus allowing us to use the organic/BIO stamp.

What does organic mean?
Organic agriculture is a production method that totally excludes the use of chemical products such as fertilizers, herbicides, insecticides and fungicides for manuring the fields or eliminating parasites and plant diseases. It is an agriculture of the extensive type which integrates with the natural process through the rotation of cultivations, the use of organic substances and smaller productions. Compatible with the natural environment and in full respect of fields, water and air, this kind of agriculture aims at preserving the health of farmers and consumers. In fact, it poses a lot of attention to the protection of natural systems and cycles, to the respect of the needs of the animals and to the safeguard of a balance between the two.

Centioni organic flours come from wheat whose organic farming guarantees the absence of any GMOs and chemicals, in order to respect the environment and to support the natural rhythm of the seasons. Thanks to repeated and careful checks, the Centioni family makes sure that both farmers and millers respect the natural organic treatment of the wheat used for grinding Centioni organic flours. Our line of pasta is also produced in an organic certified facility that follows the organic rules strictly and avoids any contamination.
